The degree of Happiness

The excerpt from Betrand Russell book, which is the conquest of happiness. It is stated that, there are have two sort of happiness, which is as a plain and fancy, or animal and spiritual that is open to any human being and the other sort of happiness which is refer to people those who can read or write. 

Betrand russel was a British philosopher,logician, mathematician, historian, and social critic. According www.wikipedia.com, Russell had two siblings which is Frank  (nearly seven years older than Bertrand), and Rachel (four years older). Based on his background life, Betrand's mother was died of diphtheria, followed shortly by Rachel's death. After that, the sad memory still come to him when his fther also died of bronchitis. Then Betrand live with his grandfather who had been a Prime Minister and also died in year 1878. The adolences stge of Betrand was very lonely  he often contemplated suicide. His life change after his brother Frank introduced him to the work of Euclid, which transformed Russell's life. 

More about him, Betrand still cannot feel the truth of happiness eventhough his marriage was falling apart  in 1901.  It was to be a hollow shell of a marriage and they finally divorced in 1921. Letr on Betrand had passionate affairs with a number of women including Lady Ottoline Morrell and the actress Lady Constance Malleson. Russell began his published work in 1896 with German Social Democracy, a study in politics that was an early indication of a lifelong interest in political and social theory.

  
According to the experienced of life that Betrand have gone through, i think Betrand made a quotations about the degree of the happiness is just because he never feel very happy during his past life. By the time he want to start a new happy life with his marriage, it it just falling down and maybe at that time he felt very frustrated. Betrand facing a dark part of his life one after one. For exampe, after her mother died, his father and brother turns. After think more deeply, he can felt the happiness of life when he turn into political fields and he can used his ability to write and read.
So, i really agree about the degree of happiness that stated by Betrand Russell. we still can feel the happiness in this life but it might be only a pieces of happiness that we can taste it. If people want to feel more happiness in his /her life, the knowledge is one of the important thing that can prove up our prestige of happiness in this life..
